SUSTAINABLE AND ETHICAL PROJECT: SEPT 2019
-Brand Inspiration board
-Final Range Plan
-Swing tag Development
-Logo Development
-Final gift bag design
For this project, I collaborated with a popular street wear brand named "Stussy". I noticed when trend forecasting, festival wear was trending massively for Spring/Summer 2020. Because of this, I produced 5 festival wear designs for the collaboration; which were rentable, instead of a product to buy and only wear once. This idea of mine supported sustainability, as the garments would be used, used; and used again. This is instead of festival wear being bought, and 'only worn once', to then end up in land-fill.
I named this collaboration; "The Stussy Project".

SUSTAINABLE AND ETHICAL PROJECT: SEPT 2019
This board I created, explains in detail how each garment/product is eco-friendly/recyclable/sustainable. Again this board supports the project; landing me a distinction overall.
SUSTAINABLE AND ETHICAL PROJECT: SEPT 2019
This board is photocopied from my journal I created. To help me create a pop-up shop, I collaborated with an interior design student, to explain what was possible to create, and what was not. Our final idea was to create the pop-up shop from a shipping container, this form of building is eco-friendly and sustainable; again matching the design criteria.
TREND FORECASTING PROJECT: JANUARY 2019

I used WGSN to inspire my work for this project, alongside the SS19 trend names created by Vogue. This project taught me different job roles within the industry and the importance of a trend forecaster. It also helped me to get to grips with creating interesting range plans that I now use in my other projects. Although this may have been a small project, it has progressed my photoshop skills throughout my time at college.
BRAND COLLABORATION PROJECT: MARCH 2019

On the left side of this board there are two moodboards I created, from already made collaborations from the fashion industry:
- Vivienne Westwood x Burberry
- Kenzo x H&M
I researched into these past collaborations to give me inspiration for this up and coming project: to create my own brand collaboration.

On the right side of this board, there are another two mood-boards I had created; however I created the collaborations with the brands of my choice.
- Valentino x Balenciaga
- Alexander McQueen x Moncler
As I was developing both collaborations I created, I was enjoying Alexander McQueen and Moncler more, as I thought their styles fit really well together for the designs I wanted to create.

BRAND COLLABORATION PROJECT: MARCH 2019

As I have chosen Alexander McQueen x Moncler to create a collaboration, I needed to research into both brands, this included:
- The brands client profile/customer
- Past collaborations
- Packaging
- Brand ethos
- Product range

This has helped me decide on:
- What I would like my packaging to look like
- The ethos of the collaboration
- The range of products the collaboration is going to have
- The type of client my designs will attract
- With researching into past collaborations, this may show how successful this new one could possibly be

BRAND COLLABORATION PROJECT: MARCH 2019

This end of year project in year one was to pick two existing brands that I believe would collaborate well together and reflect on my own style, to create a collaboration. This includes making a range plan, development work and a lot of research. As you can see, the range plan I created using photoshop and WGSN used mainly Alexander McQueen’s style in garments, whist using Moncler’s puffer texture; which turned out even better than expected. On the top right, I have shown my final packaging designs; a swing tag, shoe box and gift bag. I also made a shop floor plan, making it easier for the consumers to picture the brand collaboration as a real life store. In this board on the bottom left, again I put the brand collaboration board to get a feel of the style I wanted from this. This project has taught me a lot about promotion and communicating through fashion, inspiring me to achieve more in this subject.
BRAND COLLABORATION PROJECT: MARCH 2019

This board shows the inspiration that has gone on with making the final range plan; using WGSN CAD/flat designs. Most of the garments are inspired by Alexander McQueen, whilst the puffer texture added on the CAD designs are from the brand Moncler. The images below each design is more inspiration to back up how I have created them; from high-end/low-end clothing websites. The colour used was inspired by one of McQueens recent collections.
BRAND COLLABORATION PROJECT: MARCH 2019

This board shows the final garments, paired with accessories to complete the outfit from the collection. Each garment shows what sizes it may come in, as well as the material. Overall, this project is helped me expand on my photoshop skills, illustrator skills, using WGSN flat/CAD designs; also using pixaden, Dafont and Vogue to push myself to complete the best work I possibly could do.
STYLING PROJECT: FEBRUARY 2019

These photographs were taken for my styling project in year 1. As you can see in the left-hand corner, the front cover of my magazine I created. I chose my own model, lighting and clothes to suit the theme of neon I was hoping for. The magazine inside I created was all about how I created the front cover as well as location shoots. For my location, I brought my model to an arcade to co-operate all the lights and colours to go with my neon theme. My other location shoot was actually outsideof END clothing stores window, which personally thought it fitted great with the theme as well. I loved this project as we had the most freedom to create what we wanted, landing myself a distinction. This styling project has influenced every other project since as I had progressed with my photoshop skills as well as presenting my work better than ever.
FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: PRESENT

For my final major project, I would like to design I well-rounded range plan, to go with a brand of my own. The brand I have created is named: Insight.
Insight was initially going to be based as a high-end fashion brand owning pop-up shops across the country, also being a sustainable brand. because of this, I had created 3 mood-boards with different design ideas. These design ideas were all to be either a fashion statement to run on a catwalk, or to be sold in the pop-up store. (These designs were my initial ideas).
- At the top of the board, it talks about a dress being made from paper
- At the bottom left, it talks about a statement dress I would be designing, made from recycled plastic. This statement dress would show the audience about plastic being a big problem in the world; from entering our oceans.
- At the bottom right of the board above is showing research of garments made from rope. You can actually buy recycled rope, and I believed that the style garment went with the initial idea I was hoping for: unique.

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: PRESENT

As I am thinking of using rope as a decretive technique on my garments, I wanted to explore the internet to see if it has been done before…
The name Eillish Macintosh flooded my screen of her past work. This woman uses rope as an instrument of power that binds and frames its wearer. It was an integral part of 24-year-old Scottish designer’s final designs at Central Saint Martins, when she surprised the audience at this year’s MA show with two fully realised collections. The collection I am interested in that she created; was created from cloned black toiles, sharply shouldered and sheathed, over which knotted ropes formed geometric shapes and subtly drew the jersey to the skin. “It was about holding the body with the ropes”. Eillish explains. “The pieces fit on people of different sizes because the rope finds your waist and hips and pulls in. Rope has a lot of give even though the look is of restriction and control.” This has inspired me to push myself further into this Japanese rope tying technique and experiment with a mannequin later on in my work.
However, as I have been researching and found this designer which has already created this, I would not like to carry on with my rope design idea, as it would not be unique.
FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: PRESENT

I created another mood-mood for designs I love and would like to create. I feel as though this mood-board is: gothic, modern and the most important; unique. Because of this, I created range plans made on illustrator, similar to the mood-board. Although this project is yet to be finished and nothing is final at the moment; this style shown is the styles I would like to pursue.
From the start of this FMP, I wanted this brand to be sustainable, and with these designs I need to research what fabrics would go well, as well as suiting the original design criteria of being sustainable/recyclable.
FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: PRESENT

At the moment, I am working on development throughout my FMP, and would like to pursue talking about what has inspired me to create what I want to do and why.
